Facts

Frosses/ Na Frosa – meaning; (Place) of the showers

Not far from Mountcharles on the N56 road to Glenties is the quiet hamlet of Frosses surrounded by good farmland with row after row of hedges. This is a fisherman’s haven with great access to stretches of the Eany River system. There is a quiet bar to relax with a pint after a days fishing or rambling the foothills of the nearby Blue Stack mountains or the coast at Inver Bay.

The village being so small a popular joke was coined that one side of the village didn’t speak to the other, due to one side being the local graveyard.
